CG Mountains Environment Pack 8K
This is a production quality high res asset pack, These terrain are suitible for Arch viz background mats, Full 3D environment’s with 16 bit height map, Normal map, Rock mask, Ambient occlusion, Flow map, Deposition map, Wear map, low level vegatation map, elevation specific bush mask, Scrub mask, angle based tree masks and snow mask.
Terrain in reality only has bush’s, tree’s growing at specific (feet) elevation levels, each vegetation and tree mask set abides by these rules based on extensive research on elevation based growth and natural evloutional survival. Certain trees would only grow at certain ground angles, certain tree’s would only grow in the shadow of more aggresive species. All maps provided are created on this natural law based system.
These mask maps can then be used to lay down particle system on the terrain so only specific 3d models are spawned in the correct real world possition.
The procedural approach developed for this project gives us the ability to terrain layer mask within engine and generate procedural foliage placement of trees, shrubs, rocks and all environmental assets by using a layer mask to place objects rather than manual user placement.
This means that generating massive terrain environments is possible, eliminating manual placement and configuration of elements within large scale environments which would bear near impossible at massive scale. Using our procedural approach we are able to develop Massive terrains in a fraction of the time.
